The Story:

Set in 1875. When Alexandra McKee returns to Bayfield to open a ship's chandlery store, she learns that her old flame, Captain James Cadence, will be one of her frequent customers. Alexandra must fight both her feelings for James and the prejudice of the townspeople to support her family. But when a mysterious figure from James' past reappears, Alexandra risks losing more than her heart: the survival of the chandlery and the town itself are at stake.
